The Green Party candidate for the Gorton & Denton by election is Hannah Spencer; lets hope she polls better than her 5th place in the 2024 Manchester Mayoral election.

As a young female plumber & local resident, there's a lot to attract the Labour vote, but this by-election will be hard fought as it is seen by many as a litmus text both for ReformUK ltd.'s threat to the mainstream parties in the next General Election & Polanski's renewed Greens!

@ChrisMayLA6 Well, current William Hill odds are (decimal format):

Greens: 2.10
Reform: 2.10
Labour: 6.00
Workers Party of Britain: 34.00
Conservatives: 251.00
Lib Dems: 251.00

Feels like Labour should be giving up and supporting the Greens, but it seems unlikely that they will !

Maybe a loss to Reform or Greens will be enough to trigger a replacement of Keir (current odds of 2026 'exit': 1.61)

@imbrium_photography @quixoticgeek @ChrisMayLA6 they won’t do it sadly and entirely predictable they will say it is the Greens fault for not telling their voters to vote Labour. Because Labour is the only thing that matters to Labour and that’s why they continually block voting reform despite their party members voting strongly in favour of it repeatedly.
