The proposals mean that a tenant or tenant-owner shall have the right to request the installation of a charging point for charging electric vehicles in the resident's car parking space, if the parking space is located in the same building as the residential apartment or in the vicinity of that building. The resident shall be responsible for the costs incurred by the charging point. It shall only be possible to refuse to install the charging point if there is a justified reason for doing so. The proposals are based on an EU directive. The legislative amendments are proposed to enter into force on May 29, 2026.
