@NunavutBirder Hopefully it doesn't try to bury under a house.... (And yes this wasn't a polar bear, I know) https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2026/jan/30/experience-a-bear-moved-into-my-house?
@saarmuller Out at the cabin and there is no sign here. Big bear judging by the tracks.
@NunavutBirder Don't the cute white arctic poodles stay out at sea this time of year? Or is it normal for them to approach land ?
@jfmezei Ice all around us. They traverse land to get from area to area. Likely the same one seen a couple days go on the other side of the land behind the cabin. It head up and that water courses would lead directly to the cabin. But there was no sign of it there.
@NunavutBirder You should invite one of them so you can have a selfie while cuddling with him/her 🙂
Is this an every day fear that requires precautions 365 days a year, or is this more periodic where the town is aware of a poodle's proximity and only takes serious precautions during those times?
@jfmezei Can happen any day. Not so much fear as awareness.
