I don't like to stand out when I travel.

Today, I am standing out by being the only person wearing a mask on public transport. Which is a shame.

But I guess that, were I not masked, I'd stand out for being so incredibly handsome... Obviously.

@annehargreaves No-one has given me any hassle / grief over it, then no-one ever has.

One of the many perks of being a well-built, bearded person, I imagine.

@neil Just reading new OSA Ts & Cs of 123Reg (I don't use their hosting but have bought domain names in the past). Prohibits "illegal or harmful content" including "content that could be harmful or age-inappropriate for children" also "terrorist content". Seems to me these categories could cover just about anything. They even mention "illegal content in domain search results". They "may remove and take down" this content. If I am reading this correctly they are subjecting all content to what would be deemed suitable for children. I haven't looked at other domain name & hosting cos to compare (yet).

@neil I think a lot of people aren't masking any more because they don't want to stand out. I'm regularly the only person masking in trains and buses and indoors.

But I hope it makes it easier for others to see that masks are still normal. And I have started to see a few more masks on the bus again lately.

@neil Wearing a mask when no one else
is takes moral courage. Something those around you lack. Take a good look around you when you get to FOSDEM, and you'll understand why the world is in the state it is. Most people lack the courage you have to do the minimum required to protect and include others.

@neil You also stand out by not getting sick. And perhaps by giving a few others a bit more courage to pull out a mask next time they need to. Lead by doing.

@neil it’s always fun to see another mask wearer—reminds me i’m wearing it for them, too.
