So, and I'm not sure anyone was arguing with me but if you don't point out your hits, nobody else is going to for you:
A) the lists are real - Kenny Klips got the leaks. He said some dumb shit about it not being "the Eye of Sauron" but then he mentioned Palantir so... I dunno about that guy.
B) They definitely targeted Pretti to execute him; for being mouthy and kicking their car as they fled. The encounter the week before was MUCH worse than we'd be lead to believe. They gang beat him.
Again, Klips goes out of his way to kinda make this all seem post-war on terror "normal" which is... well, questionable. I don't know if he's being twitchy (guy's ex-Greenwald left) or he doesn't understand that Palantir being able to coordinate the data IS the fucking panopticon because of how much data the US govt collects but... this analysis is poor. What the govt DOES with the info is EVERYTHING; not how it collects.

(Look, I'm not here to ruin your opinion of Kenny Klips; but I really don't love this analysis, and he REALLY is the guy who did a Steve Bannon's War Room Show a few months before the election so... YMMV. If Imma quote him, especially when he's doing kinda bad analysis, it's coming up. He has never released a fake leak - he's just awful glib about all these nazis.)
And then hit two - here's Kyle Kulinski talking about the previous Pretti encounter, and why it lead him to the same conclusion it lead me after studying the execution. It's simply very hard to believe Pretti wasn't targeted - they knew him, they wanted revenge on him, he was in the list as an "aggressive" protestor, they knew he'd have a gun they could say justified the shooting - it was a hit. That's why the one Gestapo pig claps after he's shot:
