It’s brutal how successful the Iranian regime was with its Internet and social media outage – outside of #Iran. They mass-murdered between 5000 and 20.000 young protesters within a couple of days but the global public has reacted very moderately in terms of interest and consequences.

@christianschwaegerl i fear that has little to do with internet shutdown, although it played a part. People just don't care much about what happens outside their bubble. Ukraine, Sudan, Yemen, Syria... - who cares. Everyone's more troubled about two US citizens killed by ICE. :(
@minzastro There's a lot going on in the world, and as it's easy from a malevolent government to add zeros to "2", concern is legit. But the scale of the regime's massacre in Iran is simply horrifying and can't be treated like "news noise".
