To up my photography game ahead of this year's spring flowers I've bought a few upgrades to my setup. Along with my usual little carbon fibre tripod I got a boom arm so I can get the camera much closer to the subject without having issues with the tripod legs getting in the way. To get a better background I have a double sided white/black reflector/background that I can place behind the subject to get a controlled background. The camera I'm using is a Olympus TG7.

A photo of a photography setup. A small carbon fibre tripod is to the right of shot with a boom arm across the frame. A small camera is mounted to the boom. Various plant pots are visible. Top right is a large grey container with some green shoots showing among the snow. Bottom left is a terracotta coloured plastic window box full of thyme. Sat on the top of the window box is a terracotta pot with a handful of snow drops in bloom. One of which is held in place with a bamboo skewer. To the back left of shot a black background is placed against the balcony railing.

If you look really closely I'm also using a bambu skewer to hold one of the nearby flowers out of shot. It's small little things like this that makes these shots that little bit better. Makes the framing easier. Etc...
