@catsalad ah, my first kitty used to sleep on the very hot Kenwood. And occasionally cough up hairballs into it, which I did *not* know until the FM section stopped working.

It was surface mount. All of the components from the FM part of the board were *completely* gone, just a green haze of corrosion remained. Rest of the receiver worked fine for years.
