If you say something I do not understand, that makes me uncertain of how to respond. Even if I do understand what you've said and know who you are, I am sometimes uncertain about how to respond. Also sometimes I just forget. Or miss your response. Or hate you. Or am feeling sad. Or the opposite or in the middle. Or am tongue-tied because I'm madly in love with you.
