I want to be clear about where I stand. I support classic psychedelics like psilocybin, psilocin, Mescaline, LSD, and also cannabis, not because I think everyone should use them, but because I believe in the freedom of consciousness.

This isn’t a war on drugs; it’s a war on consciousness itself. The stigma surrounding psychedelics has been built and reinforced by decades of fear-based media and institutional control. Simply talking about these substances bout to send some people on the Fediverse into outrage, which says more about the conditioning than about the substances themself.

I am proudly pro-psychedelics. For those struggling with depression, PTSD, or deep emotional wounds, these tools, when used with respect and proper guidance, can offer genuine healing. They can also serve as a way for anyone seeking to explore the layers of their own ego and understand themselves on a deeper level.

But as we know, society and cultures often treat altered states of mind as something dangerous, when in reality, they are among humanity’s oldest pathways to growth, connection, and awakening.

If you want to explore consciousness the way I do, you can visit https://doubleblindmag.com for insightful stories and perspectives on psychedelics, healing, and self-discovery.

DoubleBlind

DoubleBlind is a biannual print magazine and media company covering timely, untold stories about the expansion of psychedelics around the globe. We listen to everyone, from the indigenous communities, who have preserved these medicines for millennia, to the people in our society who most need access to healing, and those who embark on journeys for just plain fun. We go everywhere, from the ayahuasca tourism industry in Peru to laboratories at leading universities. The conversation doesn’t end there. Psychedelics—as the first class of drugs that heal through inspiring mystical experiences—hold the potential to shift how the Western medical community perceives wellness more broadly. We cover that too.

Mainly authoritarian ones. When you watch the classic video of the soldiers dosed with LSD and sent out to run wargames, it quickly becomes obvious why they fear entheogens.

I prefer the term 'entheogen' to 'psychedelic', although I prefer that term to 'hallucinogen'. I don't believe that what we see during entheogenic journies are hallucinations, but alternate ways of framing reality.
