So what’s good alternative to Firefox?
I need something for Windows and iOS and it should sync passwords. Ideally not Chromium-based and obviously no AI slop.

@thomasfuchs another vote for Vivaldi
@thomasfuchs #Floorp uses a newer Firefox codebase than Waterfox, and I find it to be more stable (on Linux, at least).
@thomasfuchs been playing around with ladybird web browser used to be part of serenity OS but has split off. Very retro look and feel and you compile from source so plenty of scope for tweaking. Not sure if there's a iOS version but they do have a lot of OSs covered. Have a look.
@thomasfuchs Another +1 for Waterfox, which I've found to be pretty stable and not burdened by the bloat/slop of the parent Firefox.
@thomasfuchs Combination of LibreWolf and Vivaldi.
@thomasfuchs Only Firefox & is derivatives so real end-to-end encrypted password sync, which personally would be a must have. So either look out for a derivative or switch to BitWarden/Vaultwarden for the password management.
@thomasfuchs Libre Wolf has been a good fork of Firefox; it mostly just strips all of the privacy incursions that Mozilla has made in the last decade (including AI stuff) and adds some more anti-fingerprinting settings that can be easily turned off
@thomasfuchs Vivaldi made a clear statement on not integrating AI. And also posted they don’t like ice on the streets…
Sync works great, but I prefer a separate password manager (Bitwarden)
@thomasfuchs waterfox? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@thomasfuchs @zenbrowser is a pretty good choice
