@sjvn @TheNewStack Is this really such an issue, compared against EOL proprietary software people cling to?

Of course, EOLed software can have huge problems, especially from a security perspective. But that's not an open source problem. It's a software problem in general.

@dazo @TheNewStack It's a problem everywhere, but with open source, if you want to, as Chainguard is, you can address the problem.

@sjvn @TheNewStack Yeah, agreed it can easily end up better with open source.

Just reacted on the wording in your initial toot, where it sounded like it's a huge problem primarily with open source software.
