@andypiper Several folders (the important ones) on my PC are synchrosised with Shares or folders within Shares on NAS systems, on Windooze with an On demand setting where the files are only transferred from the NAS to the disk in the PC when you open te file.
The rest only is the directory listing of files that don't take any space on the internal disk.
@andypiper and becoming increasingly relevant as we realise the shortcomings of the cloud.
@andypiper yet, the thing with storage is that a durable, reliable, possibly write-once, preferably cheap, archival storage medium just doesn't exist somehow. Which is so odd to me. There seems to be just no good answer to "how should I store my decades of photos and videos".
