@decryption I know yours is new, but perhaps for others with older units that are struggling - is your outdoor unit at ground level? a fine mist sprinkler in the path of air intake can help, with very little water use

@theraspb @decryption no, not that I know of.
Some of the oldest do something similar. 70s and 80s window box units used to let the chilled water condensed from the inside splash in the fan and onto the hot-side radiator. It was messy and I assume improvements in refrigerants and compressors made it less worthwhile.
This is not quite that, it's not trying to get the unit wet. Most of the mist should evaporate before going into the unit. The idea is just to precool the air (latent heat of vaporisation) and improve the heat carrying capacity a little.
