Your piece and ours approach the same tension from different levels: yours centers the viewer’s freedom to feel without decoding intent, while ours looks at how institutions pre-structure interpretation through labels and framing—often before experience begins.
Together they trace the circuit from author → institution → viewer. Glad to see the overlap resonate.
@David in a similar vein I wrote a pamphlet 'What is art?' a few years ago. My attempt to help 'ordinary' people get into art. I have long maintained that the art and the artist are two different things (perhaps apart from performance). Art isn't a mystery.
