This is a drawing by Jurij Mikuletič of a Kinie Ger. It shows a monster standing hunched on human legs. Its arms are long and end in claws, its back is bent and speckled by fur. The fur has spots as does a quolls. Its head is massive and resembled that of an evil wolf - with a wide gaping mouth withs harp teeths, small beady eyes and cat-like ears that are turned back in aggitation.

This is a photo of a spotted quoll. A marsupial of small structure on which the Kinie Ger myth is based. It shows a small, about rabbit-sized marsupial with a round but agile body with dense medium brown for, speckled with bright white spots all over. There is a long fur-covered tail. Its snout is long and open wide in the photo, showing small sharp teeths. Its ears are upright and forward, and it has whiskers around its mouth and eyes. It perches on a tree; the background is blurred.
