This is what my corrected vision looks like. They’re both bad but the double images are easier to ignore when it’s dark-on-light. #LightMode #Accessibility #Disability

@futzle Good example too showing that sometimes there can be no 'perfect' option (and this is why websites and apps should respect system/browser settings for things like colour and font, so people can set what works for them).
I really should figure out what I can do (if anything) to my Neocities site to make it do that wrt browser/system settings. (It has been a while since I've poked at it and I kept getting frustrated and giving up before.)
@dartigen @futzle My website does what I'm pretty sure is best practice for browser specified light/dark mode
basically in the css, you just add "@ media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) { ... }"
and put style overrides for dark mode where the "..." is (and remove the space after "@")

Corneal scarring because I can’t close my eyes properly because of long-term nerve damage. Since the deformation is neither spherical (diopter) nor cylindrical (astigmatism) it can’t be corrected with glasses.
@futzle that really sucks
Thank you for posting an example of the difference that light vs dark schemes makes.
