@inquiline what do you think your post communicates
@inquiline god you people are all the same
@inquiline whine about cointelpro then do it for free every fucking time
@inquiline you win the circular firing squad good day sir
pretty sure you don't know anything about my politics; pretty sure i don't want to hear anything about yours based on your behavior! goodbye
@inquiline I'm glad more politicians are starting to talk shit about ICE (or refuse to fund them, from what I've heard, which is probably more important), but pissed that it took a white guy dying in order to happen and now they're acting like everything was fine until the victims started showing up white
@inquiline
Well, it's not a rhetorical question for him. He's hoping to get a jump on speech writing for his next few press conferences.
(Apologies, being a smartass is how I process shit like this)
this is the same POS mayor they've had since George Floyd. i realize that on some level many of our leaders (definitely him) are afraid of being on the wrong side of police power, but breaking police power needs to happen with or without them
@inquiline @TheGreatLlama As things stand, if liberal politicians acted against ICE, they'd have enormous popular support and could withstand the backlash from the federal government. That would mean sacrificing part of the liberal power for the sake of preserving the whole liberal project. But they keep temporizing because they're unwilling to do that.
