@strypey this is a great EP, I first heard them on one of the "under the blade of a Zionist nightmare" comps.

@uneasylistening Just listening to The Dissidents via the BC link in your profile. "No justice, no air", good stuff. I imagine you're interested in the possibilities of DIY online music distribution, outside the corporate platforms. Check out;

https://the.socialmusic.network/

It's a watering hole for people interested in that, both musicians and developers working on musician-centric services like @bandwagon and @mirlo.

@strypey thank you., I will check it out! the dissidents are no longer a band and I'm pausing the fundraising comps I've been doing so it'll be a while til I have new things to release. but I'd really like to get away from bandcamp eventually.

I will say through some luck and some skill I get extremely good, steady sales for the comps because of Bandcamp's size, charts, tags and some of their social features. The whole series has raised over $50k. For my own projects I can give that up but it's hard to do that for fundraisers. I'm generally way more cynical/commercially minded with those became their goal is ultimately to make money.

Anyway just some rambly thoughts! I appreciate you bringing it up and thanks for listening to and talking about the split!

All good things for platform developers to know. Maybe your first post on the forum could explain how these features work for you, in a bit more detail? : )

BTW one of the reasons I'm excited about @bandwagon is that its integration with the fediverse opens up all sorts of possibilities for social features.

My pleasure. Thanks for writing, recording and releasing it.

Oh and kudos to @diyconspiracy for publishing Craig's article that put me onto Fog, thus kickstarting this chat : )
