In one of those well-known app group chats, someone claimed that the Netherlands has gone to hell because of “left-wing governments”… even though, factually speaking, we’ve had governments since 2002 that are right-wing or at least right-center, and also openly brand themselves as such… “the right in NL can lick their fingers because of us”…

A Wikipedia list with the overview: and his genuinely internalized response was: yeah, you can see it, left-wing governments.
