Had a hilarious moment with my LA rideshare driver. We drove past Jollibee. I was commenting on how great Jollibee was, and sharing a factoid with my wife ‘in Malaysia, Church’s chicken is Texas chicken, coz church, haha’ and the driver was like OMG YOU SOLVED A MYSTERY FOR ME
Turns out he’s from Dubai and he was wondering why church’s chicken and Texas chicken had the same menu
Then we reminisced about Dubai and spoke about our respective immigrant lives in California
