I’ve become deeply exhausted, both physically and mentally, these days. Unfortunately, I cannot find the peace of mind needed to return to writing. My head is full of poems longing to be set on paper, but I am caught between helping my mother and siblings light the firewood & then cleaning up the soot. We spend the rest of our day living in constant tension; we might have enough to eat today, but the uncertainty of tomorrow and the day after haunts us.
