Maybe I’m out of touch with what “everyday Americans” care about, but I’ve literally never heard anyone say they wanted the US to take over Greenland. Or anything else about Greenland, come to think of it.

@mattblaze I think it would be a great « on-the-street » exercise to ask where on a world map Greenland is located. Im sure there is already a bunch of YT on this.
@mattblaze Ah, yes, the misguided desires of the Plebians 💩
The important thing to consider is: What do our beloved oligarchs want? 😍🤔
@mattblaze pretty sure many Americans don't even know where Greenland is.
@mattblaze Obviously, there are no #epstein Files in #greenland.
@mattblaze
The every day globalist billionaires that want to destroy NATO, the UN and the word order just so they’re free to partner with their fellow criminal billionaires in Russia, want the US to take over Greenland. And basically that’s all that really matters.
@Nerde @mattblaze honestly I don't think anyone but Trump wants to annex Greenland. the sane hawks know that Denmark will already let the US have all the military bases it wants, and the MAGA base doesn't give a shit about Greenland.
@tobinbaker @Nerde Exactly. No one wants or has even been discussing this, except Trump. Strategically, we already have treaties that allow military bases in Greenland, but what Trump is doing is endangering those agreements.
The only sensible play for us here is to back away apologetically.
@mattblaze @tobinbaker
I’ve always believed splitting up the US plays into Putin’s hands. But the way things are going, I’m starting to believe the opposite is now true.
@mattblaze You are "out of touch" with "real Americans", because "normal" news media will go out of their way to only talk to "real Americans" with "real MAGA hats" who will "really" claim that they have always wanted to invade Greenland.
@isaackuo No, not them either. No one wanted this.
@mattblaze The important thing is to only interview white Republican "real Americans" who claim to have always wanted to invade Greenland, and to not report any skepticism of this claim.
@mattblaze the better class of “everyday Americans” talks about it in exactly one context: “Do you want me to send you back to where you were? Unemployed? In Greenland?”
@BilldeWorde7a “Have you ever heard of Plato, Aristotle, Socrates? Morons!”
@mattblaze Few in the UK knew where The Falkland Islands were either, nor Argentina, until Maggie Thatcher was about to lose an election, so the Right needed a foreign 'enemy' she could unite the country against and save her. Don't let it work again. Britain was much worse after that. Racists crawled from beneath their slimy stones, hate where their hearts should be.
@mattblaze They never said they wanted to invade Iraq or bomb Yemen or kidnap the president of Venezuela but they don't actually care what their government does to other countries. The only thing they care is consumer goods and as long they get the crumbs of the goods their imperialism brings home, they won't do anything to stop this.
@mattblaze It's got some great geology, so I've always wanted to visit. The US has no claim to it, no matter what the orange clown and his mob say. Oh, and when are DOJ officials going to be held responsible/jailed for not releasing the Epstein files?
@mattblaze
The Pay Pal Mafia Techbros want it for their lawless "free cities" which are a total surveillance prison run by money laundering crypto. Look who put the idea into Donny Dimwit's head.

I’ve heard a lot of people say they want the Epstein files released, however.
@mattblaze
Everyday Americans can't identify Greenland on a map. Everyday Americans would be hard-pressed to identify where they themselves live on a world map without borders and without focus on our own continent.
But it's so huge on the map! Why wouldn't we want all that land for ourselves? They're not using it. Besides, once all the glaciers melt due to global warming, the natural resources will be easier to get to and it'll be a good place for us all to move to. We obviously need it!

@mattblaze At a diner in rural Red Square, Greenland was all these average Americans who happened to be vacationing in Russia wanted to talk about.
@mattblaze see it as the usual "let's go invade a cold place in Winter because we think it will work this time" in the time-honoured tradition.
@cynicalsecurity hey, it worked for Napoleon.
@mattblaze mmh yes, very well indeed, he got a full-paid villa on an island out of it.
@cynicalsecurity @mattblaze I'm starting to think exile might be a good thing to do with Trump, once he's impeached and convicted. And what better place to exile him to than Greenland? Greenlanders might be reluctant to accept him, but we'd make it clear that they're not expected to provide him with food or shelter of any kind.
@mattblaze I want our government to stop with the stupid fucking imperialism and actually govern.
