Since mid-last year I've been working on a full #Discworld reread as a way to finally make myself read the last one.
For many years I used to just reread whichever paperbacks I already had, so some of these books I'm super familiar with and some not so much, Soul Music being in the latter group.
Most of the less-familiar have been nice surprises that were as good as, or even much better than, I remembered them being, but this one in particular is still a bit meh to me. More of an excuse for a load of Roundworld references and punes than an actual story. Which is weird because The Last Continent is definitely that too, but I love The Last Continent!
Anyway every Discworld book has its moments, and some of the band name references are very stupid (in the good way).
Shoutout to "We're Certainly Dwarves" in particular, they sound like my kind of band.
