I just switched phone numbers on Signal. Since then, no one has been able to find me using my phone number and two who have not. My settings allow me to be found by my phone number, but do not let everyone see my phone number if they don't have it already.

Anyone have any idea what is happening? #AskFedi

Edit: no one can find me by my number

Edit: when I enabled "who can *see* your number," someone immediately found me by my number

Well that is interesting, and probably explains behavior I saw a while ago. As others mentioned, I set a username instead.
