Last night, the best experience in this festival was watching (and discovering) this Ethiopian band, using their traditional instruments, but the sounds and the performances were very much like rock music, complete with the head bob (is that what it's called?) and a person with long hair throwing their head back and forth so the hair whips in the air to the rhythm. Will be looking up their music but so far all I get is this clip.

In the foreground a musician plays a stringed instrument, a kind of harp (not sure what its called) and there are others on the stage, one holds a mic and sings while others play various instruments (that we can only partially see)

A bunch of people on stage performing music, some are in white costumes others in bright red stripped costumes. The stringed instruments are traditional (Ethiopian, I believe) while the drums are contemporary, though decorated with drawings and paintings.
