@randahl Macron would be my choice for a European president.
His view on democracy is so idealistic that he held an extra election just to confirm his majority. This was called a "gamble" by the news papers but this lable was unfair in my opinion.

On a side note: Always find Germanys reactions and statements ...ah interesting (read: embarrassing😒), of the current government that is.
That statement of Merz headed to #fckTrump like "...if you don't like europe then at least chose us.." is telling, in a worrying way.
The people here are better than that.
