#Iran on my mind this morning. This is the church where my family went every Friday morning pre-1979 (our weekends were Thursday-Friday, our school week was Saturday-Wednesday).

What's amazing about this picture is the combination of Christian symbols, Islamic art, and Persian culture. The Farsi script on the tile work reads "Love one another, as I have loved you." The star above is a traditional Islamic symbol and an exact replica of the one in the Royal Mosque in Isfahan.

Exterior view of a brick church building in Tehran showing traditional Persian Islamic architecture adapted for Christian use. The facade features warm-toned brick walls with a wooden double door entrance. Above the door is an ornate blue and turquoise tiled panel with white Persian calligraphy and floral decorative motifs. Higher up on the wall is a decorative window with an intricate geometric star pattern in blue, purple, and gold colors set within a wooden frame. The architectural style demonstrates the blending of Persian artistic traditions with Christian religious architecture.
