A prime example of stenography normalizing and opening the Overton window: This dangerous insanity is swallowed whole from the dictator as if it were just him "weighing" policy. No! It is imperialistic fascism. Greenland and Venezuela are the Rhineland and Sudetenland. Report with history and context, otherwise it is not journalism. It is complicity.

They wanted his reelection for his clickbait value and it’s succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
This is the year we all BEG for more tariffs.
Either the SuperCourt castrates his ability to levy them at all...or they (either de jure, or de facto by making each tariff a long court fight) give him a "victory" where he will cause inflation to kick in.
Vendors have mostly been swallowing the tariffs, counting on being paid back, and not wanting to drive away customers.
If that doesn't happen, all the price rises will hit at once. And it's good strategy to let them.

Some Cartoonists are reporting with history.
They want to be able to pivot to "the US government is right to attack Europe now that they've repelled our military advances in Greenland" quickly, so they have to leave open the idea that conquering Greenland is an idea with merit.
It's all cynicism and opportunism and ideology and ethical wastrelcy coming together in a perfect storm.
They're also losing viewers by the bucketful every week. Hopefully they'll all go out of business and cease to exist, sooner rather than later.
