@travis What's the TL;DR of why to use Digg instead of PieFed or Lemmy?
@jaredwhite I don’t think it’s a “use this over that” thing. For me, when I use Digg, I’m excited about it much like I am when I use the Fediverse (a feeling I haven’t lost in going on 4 years now). If it goes the way of enshittification, which I don’t see Kevin doing, I’ll definitely be out much like I was when spez screwed Reddit.
@travis It looks interesting… I'm just so allergic to non-fedi platforms at this point, it would have to do a whole helluva lot to get me excited.
The funny thing is I still remember when Digg was losing its shine and Reddit was the new hotness in town. Gosh I'm old. 😂
@jaredwhite Haha yep. First thing I did when I heard Digg was coming back was go right to the Wayback Machine and browse snapshots of it from 2005-2007. I remember the migration to Reddit. I just never thought I’d see the reverse!
@travis All right well you've convinced me to check it out further. ☺️
