@moof @bovine3dom Might the fees be dependent on the country of your SIM card? Have you tried wifi only? Laptop with VPN directing to another country? Do you know someone who uses this app and is not affected (and could make reservations for you)?

@lave @bovine3dom I’m on Spanish WiFi, my original screenshot was on a laptop. Have not tried to appear elsewhere in the world, but a friend with a Dutch SIM in the UK is also seeing these fees…
@moof oof. i had been wondering how long it was going to last for given the market power they have.
@stefanlindbohm room for a new entrant :)
@bovine3dom
@stefanlindbohm already says in the railfinder faq that fees are necessary for them to make a profit, so I doubt they’ll be able to waive them for reservations… I am happy to be surprised though.
@moof oh yeah no i am sure there would be fees. but probably more reasonable than the €8/leg raileurope was trying to get away with briefly a year or two ago

sad for interrailers, but there is a cost associated with building booking systems. Someone has to pay for the development. Either the ones using the service or everyone- including those who don’t use #interrail at all
