Happy Ratification Day to those of us in the formerly united states of America! It was a good run, and the 1788 constitution was radical for its time, but it only lasted 238 years. Let’s do it again, but this time how about we put in a few more safeguards against the inevitable accumulation of wealth and power by greedy plutocrats?
