The New European Bauhaus (NEB) Facility is an EU funding instrument supporting projects that make neighbourhoods more sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful.
The Facility is structured around two components:
🔬 Research & Innovation (Horizon Europe)
Around €120 million per year to support research, testing, and demonstration projects that combine sustainability, social inclusion, and design quality.

🚀 Roll-out Component
Helps scale and deploy innovative solutions using funding from multiple EU programmes, building on nearly 500 NEB-related projects already funded across Europe.
First calls for proposals are already open on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
This year’s NEB calls for proposals will close on the 1st December 2026.
Next year’s NEB calls for proposals will open in May 2027 and close on the 15th of September
There will also be another round that closes on the 1st December 2027
The NEB Facility puts people and places first, it supports projects that:
* Revitalise public spaces and neighbourhoods
* Promote circular and regenerative building solutions
* Strengthen community participation and local democracy
