js just wasn’t clicking for me, but then php *did*, and *then* js did after that, so maybe that means it’s the backend that beckons meeeee?
I’m dabbling so I can feel more comfortable getting in there when I have the capacity to craft my games.
There’s so many things I’m gonna create for the freaking fun of it. I keep reminding myself of this.

The very first language I understood was ActionScript back in the Flash (ha, yes I’m old) and that unlocked literally everything.
Once you understand one language, they’re all pretty much the same after that once you account for syntax.

yeah, I was content to bask in html and css because I wasn’t gonna force js, so I was so pleased when php made sense!
All the game engines have their own scripting languages, so I’m definitely excited to see how much easier they are to pick up when I get there.
I haven’t forgotten you saying it took a while for you before it clicked, and that has stayed in my mind to soothe any discouragement I encounter. 😌

I've taught a couple people how to code and the number thing I always do is manage frustration. It just takes time to pick up the nuances of programming, so feeling like giving up I just part of the process.

@andrarenee Yeah, the feeling I get from creating something I thought of into something tangible is something that never got old. It really is kind of magic because the sum total is always greater than its parts.
I appreciate the kind words. Ha, I really just love making things. Once I figured out I could do it… it’s just hard to put into words the impact it had on me.
