Dusted off Cathedral this evening to try with Ministrasse. All about placing buildings for area control, but also just a lovely wooden set. I picked this version up from a charity shop years ago. It's from 1985 apparently, but the game's first edition was published in the 70's.

Originally the cathedral piece was painted grey, but when I bought it, I stripped the paint and stained it with a warm red wood stain. I think it looks much better. #boardgames

Photo of the board game cathedral. A small wooden board represents a medieval city with a city wall. On the board are simple wooden buildings that can be placed in the grid. In the background is the lid of the game box. A deep red with the words "Cathedral The game of the medieval city" written in golf medieval style font
