@raycunningham "Ministers plan to fast-track new Irish laws transposing the EU AI Act, allowing companies that misuse artificial intelligence to face heavy fines of up to €35m or 7pc of global turnover."

The EU AI Act is a Regulation, meaning it has direct effect in every EU member state: no domestic legislation is required to transpose it into national law.
