ICE keeps taking kidnapping people I know, or that my family knows in Minneapolis. Today they took the father of my great niece’s boyfriend for no reason. The mom and two boys are afraid they’re next.
This couple has been together for over 30 years. Now she doesn’t know where her husband even is. Imagine that.
How are we gonna stop this? Fuck all with this shit.

@markwyner sorry this is happening. My own thought is this will only end with a civil war and a break up of the USA. Larger states e.g. California should leave the union first. #usa #antifada
@markwyner Very sad, but democracy requires active engagement of every citizen and more than the cross at the election. Voting on Facebook, X, Instagram, etc. is no relevant political engagement.

My grandmother experienced the same trauma. In Vienna, 1938.
Her husband my grandfather went to work one day and didn’t come back. When he was released from Dachau six months later, just a few months before the outbreak of WWII he was skeletally thin and the stranger’s coat he was wearing was stiff with other people’s blood. He never talked about what happened there.
There is only effective way to rid one’s country of Nazis, and that is kinetically.

What we can do is to continue to fight. We have to make every action by ICE as difficult and exhausting as possible.
