Crazy the way TV and filmmaking work: In a few days something I've been working on for over 18 months will finally be out and in 9 weeks will be finished already.
Those kind of numbers still get me, even after decades of this.

@virtualbri This was one of the aspects of film effects work (even back in my day) that I found more than a bit disconcerting. An awful lot of work often by an awful lot of people for a creation that in a typically very short time will be yesterday's news. Not like, say, building a suspension bridge. Or even a sewer line. You know what I mean.
@lauren Yeah totally. It's so ephemeral. But I also don't have to worry about anyone's lives in making VFX. "No babies will live or die based on what this spaceship does." :)
