@andrewrk In Norway the "paperwork" would be logging in to skatteetaten.no using the national "bankid" and updating one field in your taxform :)
(your bank account would probably be frozen and you would be questioned about how you got all that money though ...)

if I had a billion dollars, I'd try to create a Bell-Labs-like environment for the smartest IT people. I already know a few people who'd know how to make that happen and whom I can trust with the paperwork.

sounds like my job would be managing a paperwork manager. oof don't love that!
