Instead of calling for a boycott of the FIFA soccer World Cup, we should just collectively declare the Nobel committee awarded the cup to a group of marine biologists in Greenland 🇬🇱 so the whole things is pointless, we know the winners.

@thias The complicated part about boycotting the Cup is that parts of it are in Canada and Mexico...
It'll be easier for the Olympics.
I really hope some countries actually boycott the Olympics. We know no country is going to boycott the World Cup, and viewers boycotting will be negligible.

@DavidBHimself I think at that point FIFA warrants a boycott it by itself.
@thias Not gonna happen. (sad fact: the only soccer I ever watch is the World Cup... sorry...) But I do boycott against my will most international event as their always scheduled to match either the European time zones or the American ones. So most of them take place when I sleep or when I work.
@DavidBHimself It seems safe to bet that some team member will be denied their visas. So the game will be rigged anyways…
