Should you find one, I'm curious if it requires use of its own web site or if it supports Mastodon API clients like GoToSocial.

@maikel
@maikel@vmst.io we use it as our individual and project presence

@maikel
@osma@mas.to @maikel@vmst.io mastodon api are in development github.com/bonfire-networks/...
@osma so far no success to be honest. I'm starting to wonder if it's just a bunch of smoke and mirrors.
In this time an age websites overpromising and under delivering are the norm, not the exception
Re: Does anyone here know of a running Bonfire instance that has federation actually activated?
@maikel@vmst.io well, over promising builds hype and it is easier to sell promise than a product.
I only ever post when I have something concrete to show. It means I have less engagement, but it also means I never over promise.
It does not mean I am right. I think the right balance lies somewhere in between.
@julian@activitypub.space this is the second time you respond to me about a post with activity pub in it as if I were talking about you and take it personal when I haven't even got a clue what do you do.
Stop being a reply guy. Blocked.
@maikel @osma @reiver I think there is some misunderstanding going on here. As another person who follows random discussion about ActivityPub on the fediverse I think there is some behaviors that are totally normal to some and strange to others. @julian is very actively engaged in developing ActivityPub (both the standard) and software that supports and uses the standard (NodeBB) and I don't think they had any negativity implied in their response to you.
Inferring tone and intent from communications over the Internet is often, at best, difficult.
...
I have met @julian@activitypub.space in person more than once. He is a good guy.
I think he was just trying to be friendly and welcoming.
...
And, like @liaizon said (who I have also met in person) @julian@community.nodebb.org is an active Fediverse developer. He is part of the small group of people who is building the technology of the Fediverse.
Re: Does anyone here know of a running Bonfire instance that has federation actually activated?
Lol can someone tell @maikel@vmst.io to stop taking it personally when I was talking about @mayel@sunbeam.city and @dansup@mastodon.social
The thin skin of people these days.
Re: Does anyone here know of a running Bonfire instance that has federation actually activated?
@maikel@vmst.io try NodeBB too! 😁
