In 2024, Tenacious D was doing its gig, and Kyle Grass, when asked what he wanted for his birthday, said "Don't miss Trump next time".

It was offensive and aggressive.

But he was right.

... and I'm saying this as a South American who was born exactly when the CIA was messing with ALL South American governments.

And now "We need Greendland, and we'll take it the easy way or the hard way" is NOT something someone in power should be saying.

About anything, actually.

@juliobiason We were warned against this and yet here we are:

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together." - Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961
