update: the cave system was ENORMOUS and majestic, going from just under the top of the hill right down to the Deep Dark! I almost ran out of torches. My sister died from falling when trying to ascend a waterfall and I caught on fire from lava, but that's why I always carry water buckets…
(The village on the top of the hill is currently where we live.)

@carbsrule_en mostly in case of falling! We are playing on peaceful so no hostile mobs to worry about. Haven't come across axolotls yet.
