With the federal government threatening to send ICE "door to door", here's a reminder:
"If an officer knocks on your door: Do not open the door. Teach your children not to open the door. Officers must have a warrant signed by a judge to enter your home. ICE “warrants” are not signed by judges; they are ICE forms signed by ICE officers and they do not grant authority to enter a home without consent of the occupant(s)."

@stefan What about when they kick in people's doors? How can we protect ourselves from this gang of dangerous people backed by the federal government? Yeah, we do not open our door, and they just kick it in, like they have done to so many already! Knowing our rights doesn't help in a dictatorship. I would love for our rights to protect us, yet currently they do not. Hopefully when war crimes charges are pressed I could be more hopeful. No one is coming to save us!

@MyView Revising my previous response. If someone is going to assault you for exercising your legal rights, giving them up most certainly won't protect you.
Thing is ... the Trumpists have been eroding legal rights for years and Trump was voted back in to do more of that but thought it would only affect other people.
And the only time Americans care about rights is when something affects them personally ...
@MyView Right. Ultimately, we all have to asses the individual situation we might find ourselves in, and do what's best to protect ourselves, our family, and our community.
But this is the law and we should all be familiar with it.

Re: the safety plan
Human Rights First put out this app that enacts your safety plan at the touch of a button on your phone, then wipes the info clean in case of emergency. It's intended for immigrants, but I have it even though I'm white and born here. I do ICE Watch. If I'm afraid I'm about to get nabbed, I have a panic button to push on the phone that sends an emergency message to my neighbor to feed the cats, get me a lawyer, notify my family, etc.

If I were an immigrant the message would also have my immigration number, my immigration attorney's number, everything. Anything you need for a safety plan is in that app-- special medical needs, child care, power of attorney, you name it.
