"Since the 1990s, the #US has shut down its own bases in #Greenland. It's not us that have created the situation where their presence has been only up in the Thule airbase. So the United States is solely responsible for this. We haven't done anything against them

@benroyce Finally read up a little on the Wikipedia page of Greenland (partly because someone recently mentioned they are not part of the EU since 1985 and wanted to see that).

Anyway so the part that baffled me (but I guess shouldn't) is how the US, being guests on the island, showed absolutely no respect for their hosts, and tried to develop a nuclear launch site network in secret, which was only declassified and told Denmark 30 years after its cancellation. How fucking rude.
