Folks, please remember that #SayHerName is a hashtag with a specific purpose: to combat the erasure of Black women murdered/brutalized by police and the myth that it is only men threatened by racist police violence against the Black community. You can mourn/rage against the brutal murder of a white woman without appropriating it. It's not needed when white women get murdered by police or otherwise because white women's murders routinely do get attention.
