Anyone still on X must be OK with the social media equivalent of being in an abusive relationship with a psycho. Like, how many more times are you going to put up with being gaslit & degraded before you finally walk?
I'm sorry, I just know that even now talented creators I used to respect are still on there, and it makes my brain melt within my skull. 🫥

Pre-EM, when I was still active on there, I was friends with many gender equality and social justice advocates.
Every once in a while, I wonder « what ever happened to _? » sure enough, I look things up and yes, they are still posting there. To this day. Seemingly as their main social media profile. It’s so deeply disappointing
@_elena @jaredwhite I have noticed the same with writers that I followed on the bird site. They still are there, still posting. Some say they do that to win the site back, but how, when EM owns it?
@sylvia I honestly feel like it's all about vanity metrics - they like to be on a platform that shows they have a lot of followers. Even if the engagement now is down to almost nothing. I don't buy the "we're here to resist and show another way". Maybe valid in 2023-2024? But not anymore, sigh
@jaredwhite It's wild how much of the tech community put blinders on and stuck around, embracing it even. I definitely judge them.
@jaredwhite I’m really confused how anyone stays there. It’s a literal nazi bar with a CSAM AI and pedos. I don’t want to touch it with a 5000 foot pole. I actively block it on my networks because it makes 4chan look like PBS Kids.
