My #furrbaby transitioned to non-physical midday today. She lived a happy and long life and peacefully departed this plane. This is her last video at the veterinarian’s.
Grieving currently and people i know keep telling me the energy or spirit or soul never dies…
She had her fave food and a lot of catnip before we went to the clinic today.
Last night I recorded a conversation where i was checking in with her about today’s visit. She has been weak and rarely spoke the last days. However she has always been a talkative cat, talking to people i am on voice or zoom call before she declined.
IDK how to transfer the recording from my iPhone but there she was loudly meowing in reply, finding the energy to verbally respond upon my asking.
So at the vets today, a lady with a small Maltese (pup) commented how calm my cat is. i said “we had a conversation about this visit” so my cat knew it was time.
For 3 months, i journalled her health progress. when the quality of life is no longer there, no amount of hugs, pets, or kisses can help the deteriorating body, we have no choice but to do this last act of kindness: to release them from suffering.
She had pain meds, vitamins, TCM herbs and i am powerless against death 💀

in my short life, I find a partner's betrayal is the most painful thing one can go thru but this is definitely also another!

@tantramar yeah one of those things, that shows how deeply you loved so I reckon despite this being the 5th pet assisted to transition, it doesn't get easier...
