@FLOX_advocate @FLOSS_Stammtisch Anatomy of the Command Line abstract - Order matters. Why does "$ echo foo >>file.txt; grep foo file.txt >file.txt" result in an empty file? The presentation will cover the parts of a command and in what order the shell evaluates them in.
