Using a Ploopy trackpad with a 160 Hz screen on GNOME and Firefox is maaaaagical. Holy crap scrolling has never been this buttery smooth. :o

@cassidy sorry the trackpad is called what now
@alex Ploopy! From a wonderful little Canadian open source hardware company. The chassis is actually 3D printed and you can get it as a kit if you’re happy to do a tiny amount of manual assembly (literally four screws…).
Oh, and it’s huge, and super responsive, and hackable if you’re into that. Wired only, though. Still totally worth it imho.
@cassidy oh interesting! That Ploopy trackpad is on my wish list. 160Hz display though - what are you rocking?!
@andypiper a KTC gaming monitor. I forget the exact model, but it’s a 27" 4K panel. It might actually cap out at 120 Hz or 144 Hz—I flashed some janky firmware to it at some point and it shows up as 160 Hz in GNOME, though!
It requires non-integer scaling, which is not ideal… I think I’d prefer a 1440p panel at 1× or to go way up to a 5K display at 2× at this size. But it was given to me and I’ve been using it to test out scaling, HDR, and high refresh rate on GNOME/Linux at least.
